Sennheiser takes to the IFA Global Press Conference to present an impressive take on consumer audio-- the AMBEO Soundbar, a hefty offering the company claims is able to produce a wholly immersive audio experience.
The AMBEO Soundbar packs no less than 13 separate drivers, including two 3.5-inch top-firing speakers, and can produce a deep bass response reaching lows of 30Hz. Meanwhile AMBEO 3D technology combines acoustic wave guides and digital processing to reflect audio off the walls to create a surround effct. The result is immersive 5.1.4 sound compatible with the three chief 3D audio formats, Dolby Atmos, MPEG-H and DTS:X.
As one might expect from Valve, the Index is aimed at gamers wanting a high-end VR experience. It is a tethered headset, with a 5m cable connecting it to a PC, and uses Lighthouse base stations to track the position of the user within a space measuring up to 10 x 10m. Delivering VR images are a pair of 1440 x 1600 resolution RGB LCD displays running at either 120/144Hz, and Valve says the lenses offer a 20-degree larger field of view than the HTC Vive, at least for "typical users."

The answer lies in a want to mirror smartphones for mobile shopping, watching online video, scrolling through Instagram or playing games. In case of conventional TV content, the user can then simply turn the the Sero around, thanks to an integrated panel.
