Intel launches the first processors in the 10th generation Core line, with 11 "Ice Lake" models bringing high-performance AI and Iris Plus graphics in "remarkably sleek" laptops and hybrid devices.

Razer Puts Optical Switches in Viper Mouse

Razer claims the Viper gaming mouse has an extra edge thanks to the addition of optical switches to the main left and right buttons allowing for "lightning-fast" response times of just 0.2ms.

Razer ViperReportedly superior to the mechanical alternative, the Razer Optical Mouse Switches require no physical contact for signal transmission, bringing about improved durability with a rating of up to 70 million clicks. For the curious, the technology is based on infrared actuation. Essentially, clicking one of the buttons triggers a shutter crossing an infrared beam to instantly send a signal to the PC.

Fitbit to Follow on Versa With Sequel?

It should perhaps come to no surprise that Fitbit is set to follow on the 2018 Versa fitness smartwatch with a sequel-- and, according to leaker Evan Blass, the update brings a change of design, as well as support for Amazon Alexa.

Whereas the original has an LCD display, the update appears to feature an AMOLED panel complete with a curved 2.5D glass cover within an updated design reminiscent of the Apple Watch. It also seems Fitbit has removed the branding on the bottom of the display, making for an admittedly cleaner look, while the number of buttons is down from three to just one.

Samsung Leaks Galaxy Note 10's Lack of 3.5mm Jack

A leak appears to confirm the lack of a 3.5mm jack in the Samsung Galaxy Note 10-- instead, according to SamMobile, the upcoming flagship makes use of a 3.5mm to USB-C dongle.

Galaxy Note dongleAs typical with Note accessories the dongle comes in a white colour, and will be reportedly included in the box (and as such will note be available as a separate purchase). SamMobile adds the Galaxy Note 10 package will also feature a pair of Galaxy Buds, just like the Galaxy S10 series does. Another potential audio-related accessory is a pair of USB-C earphones, possibly complete with noise cancellation support and AKG-tuned sound.

DJI Takes on First-Person Drone Flight

DJI enters the potentially lucrative First-Person View (FPV) market with the Digital FPV System-- a kit consisting of FPV Goggles, an FPV Air Unit Transmission Module, an FPV Camera and an FPV Remote Controller (RC).

While still a niche market, the FPV segment is extremely attractive for both hobbyist and professional drone pilots wanting to take advantage of the boost in speed and maneuverability brought about by flying in a first-person perspective. Technically the DJI kit allows for "FPV anything," since it can be attached to any remote-controlled gadget, as well as drones.

As for the actual kit, DJI offers two variants, both including all "necessary wires and antennas." The basic "FPV Experience" combo includes a pair of VR-style goggles and two air units and cameras, while the "Fly More" adds a Phantom-style controller with internals DJI says allow for low-latency transmission, together with just one air unit and camera.
